Hi everyone, I have some problem with the code export of the Anima to my Figma (material UI) file.
When I try to export the code on Anima I saw that it doesn’t show me the code like martial UI showing it, although I took the component from Material UI, is there something I doing wrong?
Thanks’
Hey @matan-dantech thanks for reaching out! We’re actually not currently supporting Material UI in our exported code. Sorry about that!
is this still the case? Why is this? How can we find out component library restrictions? What would cause a proprietary library become unusable by Anima if we are using it in our designs as we are trying to implement the VS Code plugin?
What styling frameworks are supported?
Hello Chris,
Just replied to your new post. Apologies, I hadn’t received the notification for this one!
To answer your question, with our new VScode extension you can now reuse MUI components if you have them in your project.
Here you can download the extension as well as see an overview video from our CEO sharing how to use it.
Thank you and let us know if you have any more questions!
The Figma plugin was designed to generate code from scratch, including all components.
Frontier is our new VScode extension that understands and incorporates all your components, and your design system libraries, into the design.
As per my knowledge this is few things you can check component compatibility, export settings, you can reach out to Anima’s support for guidance on integrating with Material UI & Update Tools.
